Couple Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A couple was found dead inside a locked room of a house at Deunchapada village under Baisingha police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Sania Murmu and his wife Sumi Murmu.

According to sources, the neighbours, on failing to get a response from the duo even after repeated calls, grew suspicious and alerted the police. On breaking open the door of the house, the cops found the couple dead inside.

Police along with a scientific team reached the spot and seized the body for autopsy.

The couple might have committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance as they were under depression for the last few days.  The duo owned a piece of agricultural land in the village. However, had no children,” a villager said.
