Cuttack: The SC/ST Special Court here on Friday deferred the hearing on charges framed against self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul in the Rosaline Mallick case to May 17.
The court took the decision as two other accused failed to depose.
Sarathi Baba was arrested on August 7, 2015, by the CID-Crime Branch after a sex scandal involving him at his Ashram at Barimula in Kendrapara district surfaced. He was also booked for extortion, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy.
