Cuttack: The Additional Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Court (POCSO Act) in the city on Saturday convicted a man on the charge of raping her minor daughter
and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court also imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 on the convict.
According to the case, the convict had raped her daughter several times leading her to get pregnant. After the girl’s mother came to know about it, she filed a complaint at the Mahila police station here in December 2018.
The police registered a case and launched investigation leading to the arrest of the victim’s father. They filed the chargesheet in March 2019.
