New Delhi: The second dose trial of Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covaxin, for children between 2-6 years will begin at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi next week.
According to news agency ANI, the children in the above-mentioned age group have already been inoculated with the first dose of Covaxin.
AIIMS Delhi is a trial centre for the vaccine for those below 18 years. Agency sources also said that Covaxin’s second dose has already been administered to children between 6 and 12 years at AIIMS, Delhi.
The clinical trial results are expected in a month’s time after the completion of trials of all age groups. The trial is being conducted in three phases by segregating children into various age categories.
