Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha went up to 2197 on Saturday with 17 more patients from 8 districts succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.
Among the districts, 3 deaths each are from Khurda (2 from Bhubaneswar), Kalahandi, Rayagada and Sundargarh, 2 from Puri and one each from Angul, Balangir and Dhenkanal districts.
The deceased have been identified as:
1. A 41-year-old male from Angul district.
2. A 60-year-old male from Balangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
3. A 80-year-old female from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Chronic Liver Disease.
4. A 45-year-old female from Bhubaneswar.
5. A 40-year-old female from Dhenkanal district Sickle Cell Disease.
6. A 42-year-old female from Khurda district.
7. A 42-year-old female from Kalahandi district.
8. A 47-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
9. A 35-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
10. A 57-year-old male from Puri district.
11. A 55-year-old male from Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
12. A 48-year-old female from Rayagada district.
13. A 55-year-old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
14. A 62-year-old male from Rayagada district.
15. A 63-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
16. A 56-year-old female from Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus.
17. A 48-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
