New Delhi: India reported 4,362 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Monday. This is the lowest figure recorded in months.
This took the country’s tally to 4,29,62,953, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at 8 am on Monday. The daily COVID-19 cases have now remained below one lakh for 29 consecutive days.
The Union Health Ministry data showed that the toll surged to 5,15,102 with 66 new deaths on Monday.
Active cases dropped to 54,118 and are 0.13 per cent of the total infections. Over 9,620 COVID-19 patients have recovered and the country’s recovery rate stands at 98.68 per cent.
