COVID-19: Active Cases Cross 8000-Mark In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Active cases of COVID-19 crossed 8,000 in the city where 1093 new patients were identified on Saturday.

Of the new cases on the day, 121 were quarantine and 972 were local contacts. As many as 509 patients recovered from the disease, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the local contact cases, Patia continued to report maximum 63 against 58 on Friday. There were 62 cases from Nayapalli, 57 from Old Town, 37 from Khandagiri, 35 from Baramunda and 34 from Chandrasekharpur.

With the day’s addition, the active cases went up to 8168 while the total positive cases touched 45,508. While 37054 patients have recovered, 265 have succumbed to the disease.
