Nayagarh: The sudden rise in the local COVID-19 contact cases in Nayagarh district has triggered panic among the people.
In a tweet on Sunday, the district administration has said that all 30 fresh cases reported from the district in the last 24 hours are local contacts.
Out of 30 cases, Daspalla block has 23 while Khandapada and Odagaon blocks have 3 and 2 cases respectively. One case is from Nayagarh Municipality. Besides these, one case has been reported from institutional quarantine centre.
Out of 488 positive cases in the district so far, 192 are active cases while 294 patients have recovered and “are being” discharged from the COVID hospital. The district has reported one death so far.
