Paradip: As part of the precautionary measures taken by the Odisha government to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Army Recruitment Rally at Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district was cancelled on Thursday.
Informing the media, Jagatsinghpur Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra said that several aspiring candidates from 10 districts were to participate in the rally scheduled from April 5 to 11 at Gopabandhu Stadium in Paradip.
However, taking note of the outbreak of coronavirus and the health advisory of the state government, the Army has been told to cancel the proposed rally indefinitely to avoid a large gathering, he added.
