Jharsuguda: A day after the Odisha government announced a weeklong lockdown in five districts and eight major towns of the state, the Jharsuguda collector on Sunday ordered for a similar clampdown in Brajarajnagar town as a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Talking to mediapersons here, Jharsuguda collector Saroj Kumar Samal said all guidelines issued by the state government for the lockdown period will remain in force in Brajarajnagar town from 7 am on Sunday till 9 pm on March 29.
The decision to lock down the Brajarajnagar town was taken at a district level meeting on Saturday night, he added.
