Bhubaneswar: Ten more patients succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 556 on Monday.
The Health Department identified the deceased as:
1. A 56-year-old male from Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
2. A 53-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
3. A 70-year-old female from Cuttack who was also suffering from Brain Tumour.
4. A 38-year-old male from Ganjam district.
5. A 52-year-old male from Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
6. A 59-year-old male from Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
7. A 55-year-old male from Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease.
8. A 70-year-old male from Koraput district.
9. A 55-year-old male from Nayagarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
10. A 60-year-old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
With these 10 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 207 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 76 in Khurda, 39 in Cuttack, 38 in Sundargarh, 29 in Rayagada, 18 in Gajapati, 16 each in Puri and Nayagarh, 15 each in Sambalpur, 15 in Balasore, 11 in Kandhamal, nine each in Bargarh and Bhadrak, eight in Balangir, seven each in Malkangiri, six each in Jajpur and Keonjhar, five each in Mayurbhanj and Koraput, four each in Jagatsinghpur, and Angul, three each in Kendrapada and Kalahandi, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and one in Jharsuguda.
