Bhubaneswar: After over a week, there is a sudden spike in new Covid-19 positive cases in the city with 19 cases reported in the last 24 hours.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday said two of the new cases are from quarantine centres while 17 other are through local contacts.
Eight more patients have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours.
A total of 31,803 people have been infected by the novel coronavirus in Bhubaneswar so far, of which 31,326 have recovered. There have been 245 deaths while the number of active cases currently is 211.
