Bhubaneswar: The Capital City reported the highest daily COVID-19 caseload this year with 451 cases in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 91 are quarantine and 360 local contacts.
While Nayapalli has a maximum of 29 cases, Baramunda has 21 followed by Patia and Laxmisagar with 17 cases each and Badagada and Khandagiri with 13 each. Apart from this, more than 10 cases have been reported from Unit VIII, Tankapani Road, Old Town, Bomikhal and Patrapada.
With this, the total number of cases in the city has gone up to 35,341.
On the other hand, 117 cases of recovery have been reported in the last 24 hours.
With 32,755 recoveries, the active cases in the city have gone up to 2315 with 250 deaths.
Notably, Bhubaneswar has recorded 2479 positive cases in the last 16 days since April 1.
