Bhubaneswar: In further dip in fresh COVID-19 positive cases on Monday, only seven cases were reported in the city in the last 24 hours. A day earlier on Sunday, the tally of new cases was nine.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Monday said two of the new cases are from quarantine centres and 5 are through local contacts.
Of the local contact cases, one each was reported from Sailashree Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Mancheswar, Unit-3 and Old Station Chhak.
Also, seven patients have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours.
A total of 31,748 people have been infected by coronavirus in Bhubaneswar so far, of which 31,284 have recovered. There have been 243 deaths while the number of active cases is 200 at present.
