Bhadark: Collector Gyana Das on Monday dismissed his Jajpur counterpart’s claims that one of the COVID-19 patient from Bhadrak had come contact with six persons of Jajpur.
“The patients from Bhadrak have no links with Jajpur. Two among the three, who had earlier tested positive for the virus, had travelled to Delhi and the fresh cases also have no contact history with Jajpur,” he said.
He told the media that the administration had prepared a data base of people who had travelled to other states. “Swab samples of those from the district who had come in contact with people from Jajpur were sent for tests and the results were negative,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das had said that one of the persons, who tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhadrak, had boarded a van from Kolkata with six others from Jajpur district.
He had urged people to provide information about anyone who had travelled to Burrabazar and returned to the district after 6.30 am on March 30.
