Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital is slowly turning into COVID-19 hotspot with 16 new cases being detected on Sunday evening.
Two cases were reported from Kapila Prasad Housing Board Colony Phase II and Bomikhal earlier in the day.
With these 18 new cases on a single day, the total patients with the infection in Bhubaneswar rose to 31 and Odisha’s count spiralled to 39.
In the last three days, 10 cases – seven from Surya Nagar and three from Bomikhal – have been reported from Bhubaneswar.
The city currently has 29 active cases with the first two patients from here having recovered from the infection.
