COVID-19 Cases Spike: Jaleswar Municipality Ward In Odisha’s Balasore Declared Containment Zone

Balasore: The district administration on Sunday declared Ward No 6 of Jaleswar Municipality as a containment zone following the detection of 19 COVID-19 cases in this area.

As informed by Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, the following areas will be contained from 5 am on July 20 till 5 am on July 27.

Surakshya Nursing Home Main Road
Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir Road
Friends Drugs House Road
Dispensary Road
Basanti Padia Road. (Entrance)
Mangal Tala Road
Way to Santia Road

The collector further said that public transport and personal movement will not be allowed during this period within this area and the residents have been asked to strictly remain at home.

All shopping and business establishment of whatsoever nature will be closed immediately. The Municipality administration will ensure the supply of essentials and medical requirements through various teams. Besides, all government and private institutions within the containment zone will also remain closed, he added.
