COVID-19 Cases Surge To 1155 In Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The COVID-19 tally in the Dhenkanal district rose to 1,155 on Saturday with 100 new positive cases reported overnight.

According to the district administration, 55 of the new cases were in home quarantine, 26 are in institutional quarantine and 13 were local contacts. Six other newly infected were shifted to hospitals in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

The highest of 31 new cases were reported from Bhuban NAC, followed by 26 from Hindol block, 20 from Bhuban block, six from Dhenkanal municipality, four each from Odapada, and Hindol NAC and three from Sadar block.

With two deaths and 803 recoveries so far, Dhenkanal district has 350 active cases at present.
