Dhenkanal: The COVID-19 tally in Dhenkanal district rose to 1,511 on Saturday with 94 new positive cases reported overnight.
According to the district administration, 66 of the new cases were in home quarantine, 14 in institutional quarantine and nine were local contacts. Five other newly infected were shifted to hospitals in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
The highest of 33 new cases were reported from Bhuban NAC, followed by 32 from Bhuban block, 14 from Parjung block, nine from Dhenkanal municipality, and one from Sadar.
With two deaths and 1,025 recoveries so far, Dhenkanal district has 484 active cases at present.
