Cuttack: Cuttack district administration has declared the entire jurisdiction of Athgarh Sub-Division under Cuttack district as containment zone on Tuesday. This was done in view of the present increasing trend of COVID-19 cases in the Sub-Division.
“The inflow of the persons of other districts and states to the Athgarh Sub-Division beyond the period of the weekend shutdown in order to mitigate the emerging trend of spreading of COVID-19 cases which have been regularly cropped up in Athgarh Sub-Division and made a challenge to the Administration,” Administration said via a notification.
The order further said that vehicles and people will be prohibited from entering and leaving the containment zone. Local residents will have to stay put at home. All shops, business establishments and government and private institutions will remain closed.
Any person coming from other District/State is not allowed to enter the Athgarh Sub-Division without prior permission of the Tehsildar-cum-lncident Commander/ IICs at the NAKA points.

Bidharpur Chhak (under Badamba P.S)- Tehsildar, Badamba.
Panchamuhin Chhaka and Bagdharia Chhaka (under Narasinghapur P.S)- Tehsildar, Narasinghpur.
It is the joint responsibility of Tehsildar and IIC to examine the details of the person(s) coming from the other District/State and allow them to enter the Athgarh Sub-Division with the certain terms and conditions.
The health condition of the person(s) coming from the other District/ State to Athgarh Sub-Division will be screened by the Surveillance Team at the NAKA Point.
The detailed history of the persons coming from another district/State to Athgarh Sub-Division shall be recorded in separate register with their addresses and contact numbers.
People will have to ensure social distancing of two metres and use of face masks even if they commute in vehicles.
Hand sanitiser must be provided to the commuters at the time of signature on the register.
The Tehsildar-cum-lncident Commanders and the local IICs of the police station should deploy their ministerial staff round the clock to maintain such register. The information on the allowed cases must be available at the District Emergency Section as well as District Headquarters Hospital, Cuttack.
