Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha went up to 7358 on Sunday with another 69 patients succumbing to the disease.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, the list of fatalities gives details of past deaths for which an audit process has been completed and the cause of death has been identified as COVID-19.
Among the deaths reported from 11 districts, 13 each are from Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur, 11 from Dhenkanal, 8 each from Kendrapada and Angul, 5 from Jajpur, 3 each from Balasore, Bhadrak and Khurda and one each from Nabarangpur and Nayagarh.
In terms of the total number of deaths, Khurda district has the highest of 1,413 deaths followed by Cuttack (601), Sundargarh (570), Ganjam (467), Puri (420), Angul (332), Bargarh (326), Balasore (255), Mayurbhanj (251), Sambalpur (229), Kendrapada (208), Kalahandi (206), Nayagarh (196), Dhenkanal (191), Jagatsinghpur (187), Jharsuguda (171), Rayagada (164), Keonjhar (153), Jajpur (124), Bhadrak (122), Balangir (122) and Boudh (107).
