Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum & Chemicals and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday appealed to the people to make the 21-day countrywide lockdown to check the spread of COVID-19 a complete success.
“The lockdown is a mass movement to safeguard the health of the society, the states as well as the country and people from all walks of life have joined their hands to fight the deadly virus,” the minister said in a video message.
Stating that about 90-95 per cent of the people have strictly adhered to the lockdown guidelines, he said it is their responsibility to convince the remaining five per cent about the severity of the killer virus and persuade them to stay indoors.
“As we will have to pay the price for committing such mistakes, I sincerely request the people to strictly adhere to the guidelines by remaining inside their house to keep the virus at bay,” he added.
