Bhopal: A government doctor in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh was caught manipulating samples after having tested positive for coronavirus. The said doctor collected his wife’s samples and sent it for testing in their house help’s name.
The manipulation came to the fore when local authorities visited the doorstep searching for the domestic help. She spilled the beans saying she never sent any sample for testing.
More interrogation revealed that the doctor and his family went for wedding in Uttar Pradesh. On return, his wife started showing symptoms for COVID-19 infection. Then the doctor took her sample and sent for testing, but used the house help’s name instead of his wife’s.
According to a report in The Indian Express, four in the doctor’s family tested positive. Now the family is being treated at an isolation ward while the cops are waiting for their quarantine period to get over. The doctor will be arrested.
