Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Inspector General of Police (Operation) Amitabh Thakur has been appointed as Special Secretary, Home Department, to look after matters relating to COVID-19 in addition to his existing duties.
The Home Department notified this on Friday.
The 1998-batch IPS officer is also in-charge of the control room with a 24-hour helpline for queries relating to lockdown and people of Odisha in distress.
