Bhubaneswar: Eight new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the capital city in the last 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday informed that one was quarantine case and seven were through local contacts.
Of the local contact cases, three were reported from Khandagiri, and one each was from Hansapal, Ganga Nagar, Chintamaniswar and Chandrasekharpur.
Seven patients have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours.
A total of 31,856 people have been infected by the novel coronavirus in Bhubaneswar so far, of which 31,388 have recovered. While 246 have succumbed to the disease, there are 201 active cases at present.
