Bhubaneswar: The state government has extended the availability of Favipiravir tablets for home quarantined patients of COVID-19 apart from its own channels.
It will now be available in chemists shops duly licensed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule. The medicine which was sold through 300 stores will now be available in 1120 stores across the state.
While 40 shops have been allowed to sell Favipiravir in the municipal areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela and Berhampur, those in the sub-divisions of the districts have been identified in this regard.
