Sambalpur: The COVID-19 caseload in the district went up to 836 on Thursday with the highest single-day spike of 101 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Among them, 70 were local contact cases and another 31 were detected during active surveillance.
Also, 11 of the new patients are COVID warriors from VIMSAR, Burla.
