Bhubaneswar: In a move that would benefit 30,000 students of government ITIs, the Odisha government on Wednesday waived non-tuition fees such as hostel charges for nine months.
The fee (Rs 125 a month) from April 2020 to December 2020 amounting to Rs 1125 a student will be waived as they did not stay in the hostels during this period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a government press release said.
This decision was taken in the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, it added.
