COVID-19: India Records 2.34 Lakh Cases, 1,341 Deaths In 24 Hours

New Delhi: India reported a staggering 2,34,692 fresh infections, the highest-ever daily spurt as the country recorded more than 2 lakh cases third day on the trot. India’s total COVID-19 caseload soared to 1.45 crore.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan is scheduled to hold a meeting with health ministers of 11 states on COVID situation. The meeting is set to start at 11:30 am.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed via a tweet this morning that the mega Kumbh mela should “now only be symbolic”.
