New Delhi: India reported 29,164 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry informed on Tuesday.
The daily case count has dropped to under 30,000 for the first time since July 15, when India logged 29,429 fresh infections.
Meanwhile, 449 more people succumbed to COVID-19 overnight, taking the country’s overall toll to 1,30,519, the ministry added.
Also, 40,791 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.
