COVID-19: India Records Lowest Cases Since March 29; 2,726 Deaths

New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 caseload continued to fall as the country recorded 60,461 new cases with 2,726 fatalities in the last 24 hours. The count is the lowest since March 29, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday.

This is the eighth successive day that India has recorded less than one lakh COVID-19 cases. India recorded 70,421 cases on Monday, June 14.

With this, India’s overall COVID tally now stands at 2,95,70,871 while the active cases have also come down below 10 lakh. Currently, the country has 9,13,378 active cases and 3,77,031 people succumbed to the infection so far.
