COVID-19: India Records Over 3.66 Lakh New Cases, 3,747 Deaths In A Day

New Delhi: India reported 3,66,317 fresh COVID-19 cases till 11.37 pm on Sunday. A total of 3,747 new deaths were also reported from various parts of the country. India has so far recorded a total of 2,26,62,410 cases and 2,46,146 fatalities.

Among the states, Maharashtra reported 48,401 COVID-19 cases, followed by Karnataka (47,930) and Kerala (35,801). Maharashtra also recorded 572 fatalities, followed by Karnataka (490) and Uttar Pradesh (296), reported The Hindu.

The figures do not include infections and casualties from Ladakh. The data have been sourced from the respective states’ health bulletins.

Meanwhile, around 18.65 lakh tests were held on May 9 (the results for which were made available on May 10). Daily tests have been hovering around 18 lakh-mark between May 6 and 8. As many as 30.22 crore samples have been tested in India so far.
