COVID-19: India Records Steep Decline In New Cases

New Delhi: India recorded a steep decline in COVID-19 cases in the country as it reported 5,921 fresh cases in the last 24 hours on Saturday, according to Union Health Ministry’s updated data.

The country registered 289 deaths in the last 24 hours, which took the toll to 5,14,878. The active cases are 63,878 at 0.15 per cent and the daily positivity rate is at 0.63 per cent.

The country recorded 11,651 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,23,78,721, according to the updated Health Ministry data.

The country has administered a cumulative vaccination of 1,78,55,66,940.
