New Delhi: In a slight improvement in the COVID-19 curve, India logged 2.09 lakh new cases in the last 24 hours on Monday. The cases are 10 per cent lower than Sunday.
The positivity rate of the country rose to 15.7 per cent from 14.5 per cent.
The fatality count leapt to 4,95,050 with 959 COVID-related deaths. Kerala added 374 deaths as backlog to Monday’s count.
Currently, the country’s active caseload stands at 18,31,268, which is 4.43 per cent of the total infections.
A total of 2,62,628 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate currently stands at 94.37 per cent.
Meanwhile, 13,31,198 COVID tests have been conducted across the country in the last 24 hours.
