New Delhi: Despite India’s COVID-19 tally reaching close to one crore, the recovery rate increased a bit to 95.12 per cent. A total of 34,477 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
According to the health ministry, the total number of recoveries has gone up to over 94,22,000.
However, India reported 26,382 new COVID19 infections to take the country’s tally to 99,32,548 with 387 new deaths. Toll surged to 1,44,096 while the total active cases stand at 3,32,002.
A total of 33,813 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.
According to Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is amongst the lowest in the world. India’s CFR is 1.45 per cent currently, whereas globally it is 2.26 per cent.
“Multi-Level Governance Mechanism have been set up in the nation to monitor the work related to COVID19 vaccination,” Bhushan said.
