COVID-19: India’s Tally Moves Closer To 93 Lakh

New Delhi: A total of 44,489 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in last 24 hours as India’s tally reached 92,66,705 on Thursday.

India reported less than 50,000 cases in a day for the 19th consecutive day. It was November 7 when last time daily new cases crossed the 50,000-mark.

As per the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 524 people succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 1,35,223.

The active cases stood at 4,52,344 while 86,79,138 patients have recovered from the virus infection. A total of 36,367 people were discharged in the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate stands at 93.66 per cent and the fatality rate is at 1.46 per cent, according to Ministry data.
