Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha rose to 109,780 on Wednesday with 3,219 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases reported from 29 districts, 1,931 were detected in quarantine centres and 1,288 were local contacts, the I&PR Department informed.
Khurda led the tally with 731 new cases followed by Cuttack (400), Puri (217), Balasore (194), Bargarh (185), Ganjam (169), Mayurbhanj (137), Jajpur (117), Keonjhar (102), Koraput (90), Bhadrak (87), Sambalpur (78), Angul (66), Nayagarh (62), 60 each in Jharsuguda, Jagatsinghpur and Sundargarh, Kendrapada (57), Nabarangpur (55), Nuapada (49), 37 each in Dhenkanal and Kalahandi, Boudh (36), Kandhamal (32), Gajapati (27),Sonepur (26), Rayagada (25), Malkangiri (13), and Balangir (10).
With 503 deaths and 80,770 recoveries so far, Odisha now has 28,443 active cases.
