Daringbadi: To help the residents in commuting to the health centres during the COVID-19 lockdown, the Daringbadi block administration has granted permission to 10 autorickshaws for emergency mobility services.
The autoricksahwas will be plying from Daringibadi Community Health Centre to various destinations in the Kandhamal district.
However, one auto rickshaw can carry only three patients, while adhering to the social distancing norms issued by the state and the central governments.
Baliguda sub-collector Debendra Kumar Nanda inaugurated the emergency mobility service on Wednesday.
“The emergency mobility service is meant for public including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff,” said the sub-collector.
The autorickshaw drivers need to submit their photos and identity proof at the Regional Transport Office to get their passes for plying the vehicle during the lockdown period.
