Bhubaneswar: Air India (AI) has decided to begin cargo services in Odisha from Saturday to ensure timely supply of food and medicines amid the countrywide lockdown to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
The director of Biju Patnaik International Airport, B Venkateshwara Rao, informed that an AI flight will leave Raipur at 3.30 pm and arrive in Bhubaneswar at 4.50 pm. The flight will leave Bhubaneswar at 5.20 pm and land in Delhi at 8.20 pm.
The cargo service will bring the second consignment of food and medicines in its next flight to the state. This will be notified in advance.
