Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi on Sunday warned people against using vehicles for purchasing grocery, vegetables and medicines.
“NO BIKE OR CAR USE FOR BUYING VEGETABLES , GROCERY, MEDICINE ETC. will be tolerated,” he tweeted.
The police commissioner said that any vehicle found at markets in these city and those without valid passes will be seized.
He urged the denizens to walk down to the nearby shop and dial 100 in case of an emergency.
Cuttack DCP Akhileshwar Singh also tweeted about this restriction.
“From tomorrow onwards vehicles r no longer permitted for vegetable, grocery & Medicine shopping,” he wrote.
Stating that it is impossible to enforce the lockdown without public support, he urged the denizens of the Millennium City to cooperate with police.
