Bargarh: The nationwide lockdown in view of the coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop a young couple from Odisha’s Bargarh district from exchanging the wedding vows.
According to sources, the couple identified as Pabitra Sahoo of Nadipada and Lakshmi Meher of Ambapali tied the knot at a police station in Bargarh district, wearing masks and following the social distancing norms.
The couple was also seen washing their hands after tying the knot as a precautionary measure.
The unique wedding was solemnized in the presence of district Additional SP Amarendra Rana and IIC Sadanand Pujhari.
After the wedding, the newly-wed couple was advised to abide by the lockdown norms in order to fight the COVID-19 outbreak.
