Bhubaneswar: While education in Odisha has been severely hit due to the COVID-19 lockdown, a social media group has developed an e-learning platform for the students of Khurda district.
In a letter to all block education officers (BEOs) and headmasters, the district education officer (DEO) has said that Siksha Sanjog will provide online lessons to students from Class II to X through WhatsApp from April 19 to June 20.
The e-learning programme will begin in all schools in 10 blocks of Khurda district, including those that come under the jurisdiction of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The DEO has directed the BEOs and headmasters to take steps for creating WhatsApp group for each class on or before April 19.
They have also been directed to facilitate online classes through Diksha and Ujjwal and Utthana- Odisha by downloading them from the Google play store.
