Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi on Tuesday said that vehicle passes will issued online to emergency workers and people having urgent work in the city during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The online platform to automate the process will be launched by Wednesday, he said.
“For effective social distancing, the process for issuing vehicle passes have been put on hold and people can use ID cards for the time being,” the police commissioner said.
Those out of their houses for medical emergencies will allowed to move around if they have a patient or medical papers with them, he said, urging people not to congregate at police stations for passes. “No passes are being issued to anyone. Show your medical papers. That will be enough,” he added.
