COVID-19 Lockdown: List of Movies & Shows To Keep You Entertained At Home

New Delhi: Self-isolation is the best precaution to stay safe from the COVID-19 pandemic. Although staying indoors might seem to be a little restrictive, you can make use of this free time to watch some movies and shows to get rid of the boredom.

Pandemic: How To Prevent An Outbreak

At a time when the world is struggling to contain the coronavirus pandemic, you can watch ‘Pandemic: How To Prevent An Outbreak’ on Netflix. This documentary is about the efforts of people who are on the front lines to fight against influenza.

Parasite

Directed by Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho, Oscar-winning film ‘Parasite’ revolves around a poor family, the Kims, who become servants of a rich family, the Parks. Soon, the life of Kims becomes miserable as they fear that their reality would be exposed. The South Korean film will be available on Amazon Prime Video India from March 27.

 Asur

‘Asur’ starring Arshad Warsi in the lead role is a psychological thriller. The series is based on the conflict between good and bad. It showcases two opposing worlds, on one hand the world of forensic science and on the other hand the mysteries of Indian mythology. You can watch ‘Asur’ on Voot Select.

 The Big Bang Theory

‘The Big Bang Theory’ is a story of four nerds, Sheldon Cooper Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali, who change after a girl named Penny shifts to their neighbourhood. You can watch the series on Amazon Prime.

Blow The Man Down

‘Blow The Man Down’ is a murder mystery with female leads Mary Beth and Priscilla Connolly, who try to cover up a gruesome run-in with a dangerous man. The sisters reach the criminal underbelly of their hometown to conceal their crime. The series is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Street Dancer 3D

Street Dancer 3D’ highlights the issues between India-Pakistan through the dance and music. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles and is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Panga

Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Panga’ revolves around a kabaddi player, who wants to make a comeback in the game after marriage and motherhood.

Besides Kangana, the film also features Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Jassie Gill. The film, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, is now streaming on Hotstar VIP.

Special Ops

Neeraj Pandey’s action-spy series is based on the real terror attacks on India over the last 19 years, including the 26/11 attacks. It features Saiyami Kher, Karan Tacker, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Vipul Gupta, Sajjad Delafrooz, Parmeet Sethi, Gautami Kapoor, Sana Khan, Sharad Kelkar, K.P. Maska

Manisha Koirala’s ‘Maska’ is based on the difference between dreams and delusions. The film also stars Prit Kamani, Shirley Setia and Nikita Dutta. It will be available on Netflix from March 27.

‘She’ is the story of a police constable, Bhumika Pardesi, who is assigned a dangerous undercover police operation in the underbelly of Mumbai. Written by Imtiaz Ali, the film stars Aaditi Pohankar, Vijay Verma and Vishwas Kini.

Ozark Season 3

‘Ozark’ is a thriller drama set in the dark and dangerous world of drug-money laundering. The third season of ‘Ozark’ will go live on Netflix March 27. Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner will be back on the season three.

Four More Shots Please! Season 2

After the success of the first season, season 2 will bring back stories of four unapologetically flawed ladies who live, love, make blunders and discover what it really takes to build everlasting friendships in Mumbai. The series stars Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Bani J. and Maanvi Gagroo, with Prateik Babbar, Lisa Ray, Milind Soman, Neil Bhooplalam, Simone Singh and Amrita Puri. The second season will go live on Amazon Original series from April 17.

Money Heist Part 4

The fourth part of ‘Money Heist’ will take Tokyo, the Professor and the whole gang, Berlin, back to Madrid to clean out the Banco de Espana (Bank of Spain). It is slated to release on Netflix from April 3.
