Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to allow ride-sharing companies Ola and Uber to provide service to patients and attendants for travelling to and from designated hospitals in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela during the lockdown.
The State Transport Authority (STA) has allowed 100 cabs each of Ola and Uber to operate in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and 50 Ola cabs in Rourkela.
The STA has asked the cab drivers to upload the photos and IDs of all passengers.
The Regional Transport Officer (RTO)-I, Bhubaneswar will monitor the movement of the Ola and Uber cabs and take action if they are misused.
