COVID-19 Lockdown: Petrol Pumps In This Odisha Dist Asked Not To Fill Tanks Of Private Vehicles

Jagatsinghpur: To check COVID-19 lockdown violations, the Jagatsinghpur administration on Monday directed petrol pump owners not to fill tanks of any vehicles other than those engaged in essential services from 1 pm to 7 am.

The vehicles that have been exempted from the order are goods carrier vehicles, ambulances, police vehicles and those engaged in COVID-19 emergency work.

It also includes government vehicles having pass for emergency purpose and media personnel with valid identity cards/COVID-19 passes.

This has been done to prevent free movement of vehicles during the lockdown period and maintain the social distancing norms to check the spread of the virus, the administration said in a notification.
