Bhubaneswar: The popular and much-awaited Khandagiri Mela will be held amid restrictions in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per sources, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has accorded permission to organise the jatra, the major attraction of the mela but has imposed some curbs apprehending congregation of large crowd.
BMC sources said, Covid-19 norms like social distancing, no-crowding, use of face masks and restriction on timings will be strictly imposed.
There will also be a slab on the number of shops to be opened at the mela. Every year, a maximum of 400 makeshift shops are given permission, said sources.
