Bhubaneswar: The Odia Society of United Kingdom, London, contributed Rs 7,33,500 to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Rajya Sabha MP Amar Patnaik and the society’s Cultural Secretary Dr Bhagyashree Singh handed over the draft to state Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy at Lokseva Bhawan on Tuesday evening.
Patnaik said he had an interactive session with Odia people staying in London during his visit to London in June, and added that members of the Society expressed their interest on rapid development in Odisha.
