Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born American Biotech Scientist Dr S K Dash has donated Rs 11,43,000 lakh to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) to help the state fight COVID-19.
Chairman and Founder of UAS Laboratories, Dash is known for his probiotic innovations.
He is also the Vice President and Scientific Advisor of the International Probiotic Association and Adjunct Professor of Nutrition and Food Science at South Dakota State University.
Dash was awarded an Honorary D.Sc. by Utkal University in February 2015 for his contribution to probiotic research, philanthropy and love for Odisha.
He is funding innovation centres and endowed chairs at IIT- Bhubaneswar.
