Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded the highest single-day spike of 12,390 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours on Thursday.
Of fresh cases in all 30 districts, 6938 have been reported from quarantine centres while 5452 are local contacts, according to Information & Public Relations (I&PR) department on Friday.
Khurda district logged the highest-ever spike of 2201 cases, followed by Sundargarh (882) and Cuttack (719).
The COVID-19 tally in the state surged to 5,88,687 and active cases stood at 1,04,016.
